Thorpebury is a vibrant new community to the north east of Leicester. It is a place to live, learn, work and enjoy
It will deliver three distinct
neighbourhoods:
Thorpebury will provide 4,500 new homes for those starting out, growing families and the elderly. 25% of these will be affordable housing across a mix of types and a specialist care facility is proposed for the elderly.
The development will also deliver around 32 acres of employment land.
Shops and services, healthcare facilities and new primary schools, as well as a site for a secondary school will all help to create a thriving community at Thorpebury.
With 70 acres of outdoor sports provision, including playing pitches and tennis courts, as well as new footpaths and cycleways, which will also link to existing surrounding communities, Thorpebury will be a healthy and attractive place to live, work and enjoy.
The first phase of development started in summer 2021. Known as Thorpebury-in-the-Limes, it is providing an attractive mix of 600 homes (2-5-bedrooms). There will be extensive high-quality landscaping and green spaces (30-acres) including sports pitches, play areas, parkland and new walking and cycling routes.
